In the 2018 General Assembly session, 53 delegates supported bills for ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment (shown in shades of purple, which include patrons and those who indicated support). The remaining 47 delegates were not patrons of ERA ratification legislation. Note: one delegate has since resigned and a special election was held in November.
What is a patron? A chief patron is a legislator who introduces a specific piece of legislation. Other legislators show their support by signing on as patrons.
